1601 Lafitte Avenue is an adaptive reuse renovation of two former warehouse buildings into an office building, housing the main offices of Hotel Management of New Orleans.   The buildings, built from ca. 1900 to the 1960s’, formerly housed several uses including lumber warehousing, ice and cream production, and a meat processing, packing and sales facility.   The project is in the historic Tremé neighborhood, located just outside of the Esplanade Ridge National Register District. Jung Hotel Tour

After a vibrant 60 years, from 1925 – the 1960’s, the once glamorous, Gatsby-esque Jung Hotel had fallen into decline.
