Ken Rosen is Chairman of Rosen-Andersen Consulting Group, a real estate market research firm, Chairman of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, and Professor Emeritus and California State Chair of Real Estate and Urban Economics at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Rosen is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute and is a member of the board of directors of several non-profit and for-profit entities that deal with real estate finance and development. He was appointed to the Economic Advisory Board to the Secretary of the Department of Commerce by President Ronald Reagan. He has testified on numerous occasions before various United States Senate and United States House of Representatives committees, and the California Senate Judiciary Committee on housing policy issues. He has appeared on CNBC, CNN, the Today Show and PBS discussing real estate issues. He has been widely quoted in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, San Francisco Chronicle and San Francisco Business Times. He has authored over 100 articles and four books on real estate and real estate finance. He was formerly the Chairman and founder of Rosen Real Estate Securities LLC (RRES), and Chairman, founder and portfolio manager of Lend Lease Rosen Securities, both REIT money management firms. Also, Mr. Rosen served as the special real estate advisor to The Davos World Economic Forum, and from 1985- 1990 he was Consultant/Managing Director of Salomon Brothers’ Real Estate Research Department. Mr. Rosen received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.A. with highest honors from the University of Connecticut in 1970. He was a Professor of Economics at Princeton University. Ken has played in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament thirteen times and made the cut three times.

Ron Pressman joined the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) executive team as Global Chief Executive Officer in October 2022. With 35 years of wide-ranging global leadership experience in the financial services, real estate, and energy industries, Pressman is deeply committed to ULI’s mission and three mission priorities – decarbonization, housing, and educating the next generation of diverse leaders. As Global CEO, Pressman will work with the global board of directors and ULI’s regional leadership to strengthen member engagement and expand member impact in each of the three regions in which ULI has a presence – Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Pressman most recently served as CEO of TIAA Institutional Financial Services where he led the company’s long-term vision for delivering financial security for institutional clients. Earlier in his career, he worked at General Electric Corporation (GE) for over 30 years. As President and CEO of GE Capital Real Estate, he led one of the world’s largest and most diversified commercial real estate finance and investment firms, with a presence in 35 countries and a portfolio of more than $85 billion in assets. During his time at GE, Pressman also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Asset Management and Chairman, CEO, and President of Employers Reinsurance. Earlier in his career, Pressman led GE Energy businesses in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southwest Asia, and the Americas. Pressman has a bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College and serves the College as a Charter Trustee. He also served as Chairman of the national board of A Better Chance, a non-profit organization that opens doors to leadership development for children of color in the United States, and as a director of Pathways to College, a non-profit that delivers college preparatory skill building to underserved populations in some of the toughest urban and rural public school districts in the US.

D. Michael Van Konynenburg (“Mike VK”) is President of the global real estate investment banking firm Eastdil Secured. At Eastdil Secured, he is responsible for overseeing numerous large, real estate transactions including financings, joint ventures, sales, and M&A transactions for institutional real estate owners and lenders. Eastdil Secured arranges over $200 billion of capital market transactions globally each year. Eastdil Secured has offices in the US, Europe, and Asia. Mr. Van Konynenburg was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer of Secured Capital Corp (“SCC”), a real estate investment banking firm that he co-founded in 1990. SCC merged with Eastdil Realty in early 2006 to form Eastdil Secured. In 1997, Mr. Van Konynenburg also cofounded and served as the CEO of Secured Capital Japan (“SCJ”), an Asia based, real estate private equity platform which subsequently went public in 2003. Prior to co-founding Secured Capital Corp, Mr. Van Konynenburg was a Senior Vice President in Drexel Burnham Lambert’s CMBS and High Yield Bond divisions in Beverly Hills, where he was responsible for trading and structuring various CMBS securities and real estate financings for noninvestment grade corporates, as well as trading distressed mortgages. Mr. Van Konynenburg graduated with highest honors from the University of California at Davis with a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics. He is a founding board member of the Ziman Center for Real Estate at UCLA Anderson School of Management and a member of Real Estate Capital Policy Advisory Committee (RECPAC). He is a governing trustee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and actively involved with the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles.
