Please join ULI Louisiana at the Bayou Treme Center Site – a former cathedral and school property – to learn how Bayou Treme partnered with the Regional Planning Commission’s Brownfield Redevelopment Program to facilitate the redevelopment of the over 100 year old property. Jon Leit, Director of Alembic Community Development’s New Orleans office, will discuss the challenges and opportunities with redeveloping the three historic properties as a new mixed use program for the performing arts, education and office space. Rebecca Otte, RPC’s Brownfield Program Director, will provide an overview of their involvement in the project to help address environmental concerns at the site and how the Brownfield Program can benefit other redevelopment projects in the region.
